i went to dairy queen to use a 2 for 1 blizzard coupon this afternoon. when i do this i see that one of them is the blizzard of the month, which is the triple truffle. it tasted fine, but i think my favorite is still the pumpkin spice flavor. the other one i normally get is the banana split flavor. i get minis now, as it is cheaper, and easier to eat them in the shop and nothing to take home where it might start to melt on the way home.
it was the typical weekend day, with some errand running. after going to get a breakfast sandwich and picking up what was at my p.o. box, i stayed in for a little while until i went to the grocery store. then it was to dairy queen, and to the library. one of the things on my 'to do' list at the library was to get registered for a comedy festival, and i did. i responded to linked-in messages about the second interview for next week, and tried to order a ticket for the Minnesota twins fan-fest next weekend. although i don't recall the password since i don't use it much, so i had to request a reset. so in the evening i finally got it ordered, and i can do the 'print at home' option the next day.
i was kind of leisurely for a while about things as i also knew i could watch some of the NFL playoffs on TV. although the first game, falcons-eagles, was on a channel that doesn't scan here. the second game, titans-patriots, i was able to see, in the evening. of course i still had the urge to perform, and ventured out to do some karaoke. the MC said it was kind of slow, explains why i was able to get 3 songs in. i did 'amish paradise' be weird al yankovic, 'greatest love of all' by whitney Houston, and 'longview' by green day. the middle one, the whitney song, i knew i did in chorus class in junior high. i saw a man there who is now a regular that said he thinks Charlie manson is a great musician, and believing conspiracy theories about the manson murders. he also said he left his notes behind at a comedy show. i had largely forgotten about that one, but as i recall i was at the venue that night. and i was able to name some of the comics involved, since i know plenty of comics.
