i had a sandwich at a subway shop before an appointment with a temp agency this afternoon. i haven't been eating out much lately as it is harder to justify it while unemployed. even though a sandwich isn't much, a can of soup or spaghetti is way cheaper. but due to the time of the appointment, being close to midday, I wanted to eat before it as one does think better when well-fed. there was paperwork to fill out, and some online testing as well. sounds like nothing in terms of positions will be discussed with me until they talk with professional references. i did not bring them with me but was informed I can email them once found, and was given a business card. i knew where they were in my home, and sent them shortly after i got back.
i had another interview this morning, it was the 10th since i was laid off. sounds like it would be more waiting on if there is an offer, i was told 3 weeks. and it looks like there will be no offer on the one where i interviewed last week. i got a rejection email, and i responded and decided to ask them why. it is disappointing to say the least, especially when I interviewed twice and felt like i presented myself really well. in spite of it all, i decided to file 9 more applications with this bank, even though i have interviewed 3 times so far and no offers yet.
i did some karaoke tonight, 5 songs. it was 'teach your children' by Crosby stills nash and young, 'loser' by beck, 'live your life' by t.i. and rihanna, 'all i really want' by Alanis morissette, and 'crimson and clover' by tommy james. naturally the first one was inspired by seeing the movie 'running with scissors' this week.
