i was in the studio audience for twin cities live this afternoon, and one of the things i saw during that hour was an oversized novelty check. it was being presented to the muscular dystrophy association. they also had an elderly lady that has won state fair food contests often. i like doing this annual thing. there was a gift bag for the audience members, hard to say how much use i will have for all of the items in it. it was 'free for all' Friday, so people asked questions of the hosts, and one was about the upcoming super bowl.
i had another interview around midday, thankful i was able to get to it and then twin cities live. i have a better feeling about this one than others from an agency. i found out i have a common interest with the interviewer- history. but i will not hear results of it just yet. he still has more interviews to do, some people were ill with the flu. i sent the phone numbers of references to the other interviewer, who i found out is out of the office today when i first called about it. will hope for the best on it. i know it wouldn't be the first time that i get offers at around the same time and have to choose. i of course will give preference to the one that isn't from an agency, since i know i would be on the payroll right away.
i went to just one venue tonight to perform, instead of two. guess i was a little too comfortable in my easy chair, and considering it is still subzero out there who would blame me? so i waited a little longer to venture out and sang some karaoke, one song, 'love you like a love song' by selena Gomez. it was more fun than typical as there were something like 10 young ladies at the table near me and i could hear them singing the song.
