airport in peru

it is nice to be back at work. we are reading essays that are about 2 passages, one of them was about building an airport in peru. I scored 61 tests, of course we had training to do first. I said 'boo' to my neighbor from the first project during the afternoon break. I was buzzed in and the HR official handed me my badge. I could tell it was the same one as the post-it with my scoring number was there.
after I got home in the evening, I checked the mail and there was something from my dad there. it was postcards of the American gothic house in southeast iowa.
looks like the world cup soccer tournament just started. I read a paper in the breakroom and it said the US team did not make it. I had to read on Wikipedia about the US-led bid for hosting the 2026 tournament. looks like the only midwestern venue is the chiefs stadium in Kansas city. ten of the venues are American, 3 in Canada and 3 in mexico. it is 8 years away so it is a while before it is relevant. but it would be nice to find out if it is possible to see a game in the tournament. some had shared on facebook how they saw a game in 1994, the only other time when America hosted it. soldier field in Chicago was the venue mentioned.
I made it to the karaoke venue and did 2 songs. it was 'lord mr. ford' by jerry reed, and 'against all odds' by phil Collins.
