i went to a 'hiring event' tonight after work, in the west metro. i was given a green chip, plastic, and waited for them to call that color but they didn't. i went in when they said i could, and had four interviews. the first was 'all locations', i was most enthusiastic there. sounds like they want to schedule another interview soon, next week. there was water, and cookies, in the lobby, i had some of it. before i arrived, i wanted to eat some dinner, but all i found nearby was a target store. so i went there and had some lunchables as well as a small can of pringles chips.
since i knew we were reaching the end of the line, i went into work 30 minutes early as it sounded like it won't be a full week. it was all handwritten tests today, i scored 130 of them. the moderator said it wouldn't be a full day Friday, maybe just 2 hours. so some may not want to come in for that much if it is a long drive, but i will since work is work. we did some more trivia, i knew the one about the barenaked ladies song name-checking leann rimes.
i went to the performance venue tonight, and sang karaoke. it was 'my immortal' by evanescence. i had sang it before, but i really like the passion in it so it was time to sing it again. it proved to be a crowd pleaser, i had some after i was done saying that i did it well. the KJ spoke of giving up being a wedding DJ on weekends, said that needing insurance was tough as well as always being booked and having no free time on the weekends but he said the money is good from it.
