i seemed to have to call and wait a lot today. first it was due to looking for work, then it was related to picking up a rental car at the airport in the evening. but hopefully it will yield something on the job front, as I have two appointments for Monday. although one of them is to review evaluations of me from the test scoring job. the other is an agency where the man spoke of being from iowa like me, after seeing my updated resume. I didn't like waiting for the shuttle to the car rental place, I changed companies as I was doing a later pickup, by 3 hours. I talked with a man named vang while we were waiting. then I had to ask where the rental agreement was, the agent said it was put in the visor. then it was off to an ATM for beer money as I wanted to get to a karaoke bar. I found one earlier today while driving past, in st. paul. I sang 'everybody hurts' by REM. I would have liked getting there earlier as it would have meant being able to sing more than just one song. I stopped at a super-America after karaoke and got a bag of potato chips, there was a sign on the window saying 'cash only, sorry' and I said that was fine as I have some.
