I went to a job fair in Burnsville, and then was informed there was a temp agency across the street. so I checked and there was a closer location to me. I made an appointment for later that day and had to ring the bell for service. but at least I am registered with them and hopefully will hear something good soon. none of the jobs at the fair were in my skill set or really appealed to me. two of them were rival consumer product companies and paid well for driving jobs but it would also mean plenty of heavy lifting and I have no idea of my back could stand the strain. I was advised to 'do something out of my comfort zone' when I spoke of how hard it was to get to work at a decent job. reminds me a little of being unemployed after getting out of college and was advised to 'take what you can get'.
I performed at an open-mic in the evening and a friend said he is a security guard. so it is another job lead to consider. although I had some 'push back' ready, saying I have no experience in that area and that is often why I am passed over for jobs I would like to do. he tells me his work is fairly easy though. but at this point I still want to see if I am able to land an office job again.
