scoreboard trivia question

i went to a college baseball game this afternoon and there was a scoreboard trivia question. i knew the answer when they asked what year that Rihanna's 'umbrella' song was popular, it was 2007. the national tournament was in town, and it meant going to Siebert field in Minneapolis. the MN gophers weren't playing in the game i saw, so it was a sparse crowd. i bought the ticket before i knew what teams would be playing, just wanted to see a good game. UCLA beat Gonzaga 10-4, and never trailed in this one. UCLA struck early, and led 2-0 at the end of the 1st, and Gonzaga went hitless until the 7th. it was kind of fun to see the enthusiasm from the kids when they were chasing down foul balls. UCLA scored 2 in the first, aided by a ground rule double. then one in the 3rd, aided by a hit batter. then 2 in the 6th, aided by an error and wild pitch. then 3 in the 8th, aided by a triple. and 2 in the 9th, aided by a double. Gonzaga got one in the 7th, aided by a double. and 3 in the 8th, aided by a 2-run home run. It eliminated Gonzaga from the tournament. later on in the evening i checked the score of the second game, the Gophers beat UCLA 13-8 and will advance to the super regionals, to be held  next weekend. i stopped at a Walgreen on campus near the light rail stop after the game to get a drink and a bag of potato chips. then it was home. i don't mind having to transfer at MSP airport, as it gives me to feeling of having flown somewhere this weekend. on the way to the game i spoke with a man on the train that said he once lived in the housing projects in Chicago, then moved to the Quad Cities. he said he was thrown out by his dad age 16, and now doesn't want his son living with him, who is over 40. he spoke of having drug problems at one point in his life, then gave his life to God. and something about going back to church as he left his phone there, it was being re-charged.
i didn't do much after getting back from the game, it was evening by then. i heated up some ravioli for dinner and fell asleep for a while after eating. the news was on by then, so i got the dishes done.
