parking lot walk

at lunchtime i decided to go outside and walk around the parking lot at work. i did two laps and went back inside. there were some I.T. issues that caused us to go to lunch early, and longer. but i still scored more tests today than Friday. first order of business was the official note for my boss, saying i am out of the office on Friday. i asked for HR in reference to benefit questions, was informed there was no time off benefits such as for bereavement. i was wondering since of course my aunt is now in hospice. figured i might as well ask about jury service while there, they told me this would be a different thing. i also had to say i last did jury service more than 11 years ago.
after work i looked up some baseball stats, it was in the back of my mind about discussing great players in montreal so i wanted to compare stats. andre dawson ranks high, though he never played in a world series. Jackie robinson played in six different series. robinson of course didn't play for the expos, but for the royals, the minor-league team that was there before the major-league team. i performed in the evening. it was nice to see the father of tetris at one venue, had seen him at a show in dinkytown a little while back.
