delayed postcard arrived

i was wondering if the postcard i sent myself from new ulm would arrive at all, and earlier today it did. it looks beat up, and the section with the address was a little torn. so i taped it and then put it in a plastic protector before it went into my photo album. the card i chose was of the former post office, now the brown county museum. i had been making this annual visit for over a decade, so it was time to give myself this souvenir. it led to me calling my dad to find out if he got one from me and he did. sounds like much earlier than mine. though he said he had a hard time reading some of what i wrote. it was a typical call, a long one about various subjects and one of those was politics. he said he has already sent in his absentee ballot. one thing sounded familiar to what i deal with, car dealers making plenty of contacts related to buying another vehicle. i find it to be annoying, and many others likely do as well.

in the evening i went on a walk and picked up 5 cents. the 'big bang theory' rerun was when an FBI agent interviewed the friends related to howard, and sheldon shared too much. it was just one episode as i wanted to be caught up on everything before leaving the office for a day off. a colleague that trained me will be filling in for the day. he was in for a short time around midday to see if there were any changes since he last worked in the check shop. there were some, hard to say how many.
