murder on orient express movie

this evening i watched a DVD movie, a redbox rental, 'murder on the orient express'. this was probably the first time i had seen a movie based on an agatha christie novel. i know i haven't read any of her books. this is the version from 2017, though i found out there were other film versions such as the one from 1974. i recognized penelope cruz, michelle pfeiffer, judi dench, and johnny depp in it. the actor playing the detective was also listed as the director, and a producer. part of the plot i could tell was inspired by the lindbergh baby kidnapping and murder. when the train is snowbound, a man is found dead. and then the detective is pressed into service to solve the murder. it is solved before the train starts moving again. i will admit i might have been a little too tired to be watching it in the evening, but it kept my interest well. and i liked watching the special feature about the author of the novel, which had interviews with those that knew her best. i had a feeling when the movie had reached its ending, it was when the detective asked somebody to straighten his tie, as the man was taking him to the next case. it was part of the beginning of the story as well. i liked seeing what music was in the closing credits, including songs by cole porter, duke ellington, and billie holliday. and michelle pfeiffer was credited with singing one of the songs.

at work the envelopes i had been waiting for finally arrived. it was 2 boxes so we should be fine with that business line for a while. i went on a walk after getting back from the hy-vee in eagan, and found 4 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when howard and bernadette became parents for the second time. it was followed by the one where sheldon and raj work together, but not very well, as it ends with an explosion in the office they are sharing for the project.
