i used another free night code on a redbox rental, i think this was for my anniversary with them. i saw another western from there, 'last days of billy the kid'. i knew i had seen one in the past year, it was on the 4th of july. this one was another fictionalized story, having his dad being a lawman. also getting married and his bride being killed shortly thereafter. it seemed to have some of the same actors as before, such as the one-eyed lady saloon owner. i didn't understand one scene in it, where a showdown in the street was held up by a lot of talking. in westerns i am used to seeing them shooting right away.
I will have to admit I was a little wary of renting this movie, at first a little afraid it would be the same one as before. but i looked at the release date on the listing and it said '2018', this year, so i figured i was safe. I found out the earlier one covered a different part of the life of billy the kid, had to refresh my memory. the earlier one was about the Lincoln county war. all i recalled was that he was the focal point of the one i had seen earlier. there was actually 2 westerns to choose from, but i only needed and wanted one movie. that is what i like about Redbox, where there is usually at least one movie that appeals to me when just looking through the list, A to Z. i knew i had 60 days to use this code, but i also didn't want to forget about it and there was less than a month to use it. billy the kid was a larger part of the story this time, and this i liked.
i performed tonight, and one of the things i spoke of was this movie. looks like a show i was going to be a part of is a no-go, pre-empted by the Vikings playoff game. but the show runner would like to get the impacted comics rescheduled. hard to say what i will end up doing this upcoming weekend. i will have to check my 'admin assistant', facebook, to see what shows are still happening.
