elevator ride to bathroom

in the morning at work i was going to another floor and saw flowing water in one elevator shaft and said i guess we aren't using that one. this was to go pick up the reject fax and then scan it and forward it by email. then a little later on we saw emails and text messages saying the bathrooms in the building were unavailable, eventually told it was due to a water main break. it meant going to use the bathroom on the main floor and taking the elevator to get there. based on what i saw, this one is normally not used that much. i saw the badge scan by the door and the door was open, telling me this door isn't open usually. i went there three times, it wasn't too big of a deal to me. i got a sandwich and Pringles chips from the convenience store on the main floor for lunch, instead of having a can of soup as it sounded like the water in the breakroom was also turned off. i like washing out the container after having soup. near the end of the day, i had a quick call about the nine-figure check that i overnighted last week. i guess it was too big as the recipient was unable to cash it. this was from a lawsuit, as it went to a district court in California. i gave the names of two managers that may be able to help with the technical aspects of it, one of them was already known by the caller. in the evening i went to cub foods and picked up thanksgiving dinner for next week, actually two dinners and a half-pie, blueberry. i tried going to the copy store to print some event tickets but it was already closed for the night. it means trying again the next morning. then i went to Hy-Vee in Eagan for my normal weekly visit. not a lot in this order, just seven items, eight if you count the can of beer that i bought at the adjacent liquor store that Hy-Vee owns, it was an IPA. now there are five beers waiting.
