i didn't bring lunch to work for the day as i had signed up for a sushi event that the building manager was having. i don't have sushi that often, this was on the main floor. i made it midway through the one-hour time allotment and was told there was just two options, veggie and crab, so i chose some crab sushi. there was some soy sauce that i used, not a big deal. a packet of horseradish was included as well, and it was potent. the boss was in the check shop for the day and seemed worried about the expected snowstorm for the next day, although it was predicted to be just two inches of snow. i said i can make it to work as long as the light rail is running. there were two emails about this week's holiday, one was from the CEO, and the other was from the senior leader of the group that i am in. i was watching a YouTube video about the Charlie Brown special in the evening after the news was done and it reminded me that it would be a good idea to have bread as part of the thanksgiving dinner. i made it with just a few minutes to spare at the Aldi and picked up some cheese, English muffins, and a quart of egg-nog. did not get nog at Hy-Vee as there were no small bottles in my most recent visit. i can think of the quart as taking care of two weeks' worth.
