no, not a vacation in Fiji. there was a request to overnight three checks to that island nation and when i tried to create the label i saw how UPS said, 'not available'. i let the business line know. first time i had seen this happen, although i don't see overnight requests for international locations that often. most of the time, it would be going to Canada or Great Britain. i overnighted what i could for that business line, thankful there wasn't much from them, likely aided by being just before the holiday. i did a quick dial-in meeting with the boss in the morning, the kind where i share my screen. i was asked to look up a check, and we found out the amount and payee name did not match. the checks for the tax specialist were picked up later than usual, just before i started running checks in the mid-afternoon. usually, it is picked up before midday. the weather may have had something to do with it. an internal customer from the home office kept asking about a check to be picked up, i said it wasn't approved yet. this was somebody that i had been overnighting checks to recently. there was some mention of it needing to be available soon as well as picking it up the day after the holiday. i said i would be in the office that day.
