wine jail?

 in the evening i watched two episodes of 'the Simpsons'. the first was about smithers and marge landing in wine jail, for wine forgery. it wasn't lost on me when someone playing Frank Coppola saying 'i bid nothing' at the auction due to 'the godfather' director running into financial problems. leave it to this show to have a weird storyline like this one. according to what i found on Wikipedia, it actually aired nearly a year ago, but i didn't see it then. the second episode was about Mayor Quimby's son running for office at Bart and Lisa's school. this episode is also known for killing off the church organist. this was a rather leisurely day for me, not much that i had planned at all. there was watching two pro football games, the Bears beat the Vikings on a last-second field goal. i fell asleep near the end of the first half and then found out the score had changed during that time. then the second game i watched was when the broncos beat the chiefs. for some it is hard to believe that the bears now have a better record than the chiefs, since the bears have a new coach and this would suggest a rebuilding season. and of course, the chiefs are the defending champion in their conference. the difference seems to be winning the close games. i also shredded some junk mail, first time in about two months. later in the evening, i did the dishes.
