I was taking the bus home from work tonight and heard some kids in the back shooting dice and snapping their fingers. thought this was odd, hadn't happened before. likely illegal, but a good story to tell. i did a facebook posting asking for advice about comedy clubs in st. louis, i plan on traveling there this summer. i had done some online searching already, but when i have comedian friends i have people in the know that i can contact. one of them turned it into a joke, saying he knew funny baby bears. realized i had written it as 'cubs' not 'clubs'. asked him if we were playing chess, since he also said 'checkmate'.
i got my bio submitted by email for a writer convention next month, though it was brief. also was added to a group on facebook for my class reunion next year, i am hopeful they will have it at the izaak walton club, since it's named for Emerson Hough. a classmate said one place is called the 'old' country club since it is in bankruptcy, it was where we had the reunion last time. we've had it at a different place each time so far.
