went to an alumni event at stella's fish cafe in minneapolis tonight after work. football player chad greenway was there, as he is a hawkeye grad. thought it was a fun name for a restaurant. got a pocket schedule for the football team.
at this event i was paying attention to the music i was hearing overhead. it included 'island in the sun' by weezer and an island version of 'over the rainbow'. i had heard the latter before many times on movies and TV shows, usually when somebody dies. then i found the story of the performer, it is israel or 'iz' and he died in 1997. the video on youtube said 'iz lives' and showed them spreading his ashes in hawaii.
on the news there was something about bullies doing 'table topping', hated hearing how this still happens as it happened to me.
