While I am hope about online dating, I know I must be wary of scam artists. It looks like there are some on the sites I use. I've learned from past experiences to pay attention to red flags when you see them. I am smart enough not to send money when asked, but it also means ending communication quick when you see red flags. Just got what looks like another one, as her story of what she liked about my profile didn't add up. And she asked me if I was married or had a girlfriend. Chances are I don't if I'm looking! It looked too much like one last week that spoke of antiques dealing in foreign countries, and exes cheating on them.
Oh, and that ominous convention at work, was a positive thing- job opportunuties.
