Broken Shoelaces

I am trying to get this pair of winter shoes through another season. One of the things I am doing is trying to use box tape on a broken shoelace as I dread having to try to find a store with the proper laces for this kind of shoe. It of course may become a case of having no choice, but I'm not there just yet. I find the shoes are easier to tie and stay tied when I have the 'stripped' laces, it is maddening to have the rounded ones. And both are partially stripped.
Good show at the comedy club tonight, I let bathtub know right away how I liked the laundry basket joke. He was show closer. He also did ones about activating rivers, summoning buffalo at Yellowstone, a penguin, a $41k couch, and the Playboy mansion as an American secret. I said to school bouncer how my hat is off to him since he does the work at the school. I spoke of how it is hard to do the mentoring program at a high school. He did not do school jokes tonight but the new material went well- the movie 'Cool runnings' was mentioned.
There of course were other performers. One of the brothers did ones about never change, looking homeless, and a side car. Ragu did ones about Comcast, and drinking on the bus. Mr. Pibb did ones about dating an identical twin, and is this your cat? Resistable comic did ones about what cats eat, and red hair at Target. A comic back from New York did ones about Cub Foods, and Rotary. Fever comic did one about flossing before a dental appointment. Turtle check did one about Buffalo Wild Wings. Laundry did ones about leftover hot dogs, a TV/VCR, and CDs. A comic back from florida did one about Olive Garden. A former MC did one about a studio apartment. University accountant did one about clotted cream. Three by three did one about McDonald's. Postage stamp did one about Spotify, as well as 12-ton taxi, and bar trivia. Extra murder did ones about a food truck, and Verizon. Perkins did ones about cranberry soda water, and 'Wolf of Wall Street'. Maryland did ones about a cat burglar, 'Friends' on Netflix, Disney movies, a marketing degree, and a condo. Tetris did ones about Colonel Sanders, a Best Buy ad, and reading a Nicki Minaj song as a gold prospector.
