Heard a rap song on the radio tonight after leaving the comedy club that mentioned Ford Escorts. Something about comparing somebody to the car, saying they don't make them that way anymore. My family had a Ford Escort station wagon. I like how I get many of the pop culture references in rap, and my hat is off to them for their clever wordsmithing. I sent more miles put into a frequent flyer account, as I got enough points from answering online surveys for 500 miles. In the past year, actually just since may, I have added over 5,000 miles to the account just from the surveys. Usually it means flying a lot to get this many miles. Before long I will have enough to be eligible for a free trip, maybe after just 500 more. Though I need to wait at least a month since there are rules about how often to have the points converted. Though I have been more aggressive about getting miles added since May due to the rules changing, where I got a notice saying I can add miles more often. I largely forgot about it before then, and noticed I had over $100 in 'survey money' there that I wanted to have converted. Who knows how much of it 'expired' due to lack of use.
