Girls Just Want To Have Fun, Cyndi Lauper

I heard the song 'Girls just want to have fun' by Cyndi Lauper during the comedy show I attended tonight. Another song sounded like Hank Williams, 'So lonesome', I am also familiar with the Cowboy Junkies covering it. With the Cyndi Lauper song I recall it from when I was a kid. Later on I did see the video at a Twin City mall, in Maplewood, when I was in a relationship. The video seems to suggest the social change that is happening, where girls wanting to have fun meant not wanting to be housewives, but more independent. With the latter, the red-faced comic was brought on by this song, which seemed to fit his persona of playing a guitar.
Also at the comedy club, a comic back from California did ones about capturing insects, puberty hit me, a few days of a panic attack, cat doesn't like me, afraid of dad, who has foreskin?, and he likes the same sandwich. I also got a shout out. Nebraska did one about a crack-head pops, be all you can be, Golden Corral yeast roll, and rock climb skydive and dic-pics. Tetris did ones about just relax, slippery when wet, coefficient, stress eating, nothing on TV, return a welcome mat, voice and face doesn't match, and the pen place moved. Tortoise did ones about 8 spiders a year, and sing 'Start believing in myself'. Extra murder did ones about cop walking into an automatic door, existential crisis, tax bracket- bond villain, sisters second wedding, Denny's placemat, Elton John duel, got a shout out about the Pizza Hut logo, bigger in Texas, and wear glasses look smarter. Bus fare did ones about Mikes Hard Lemonade, souvenirs thrown in crowd, hey there Delilah, teeth found in a hotel room, continental breakfast and Yelp review, and crypt of old pocket watches. Fantasia did ones about trash people, an improvised joke about the letter P, and pan of gold. Mr. Pibb did ones about MOA and Southdale, spoon and cherry, Orange Julius, tampons at thrift store, look fine using a mirror correctly, saying Bloody Mary, and Fuddruckers. Ragu did ones about drinking on the bus, all break ups are bad, emotional meltdowns on Facebook, how do you live like that?, playing landlord at parties, Harry Potter movies, and you get a do-over. International Falls did ones about teen witches, day 131 no HR, Prince as emergency contact, and OK cupid. Red-faced comic did ones about 12/13 CDs, Johnny Cupcakes, and send the bill to my heart. Happy meal did ones about a feminist rally, live next to fish store, and quiet man's hobby. Duffel bag was wearing a Coca Cola sweater. She did ones about cosmic bowling and laundry, one time use Tupperware, life insurance and funeral costs, turned from the lord, and heard working head shop.
