airport marriott st. louis

i am in st. louis for my annual visit for cardinal baseball games. first time staying at the airport marriott. when i checked in i said 'we were all rookies before' when somebody was helping a new employee understand the process. i flew southwest, flight was delayed about 30 minutes but didn't affect my plans much. wanted a hot dog at auntie anne's at the airport, but they were sold out. went to the main terminal on the light rail and got a hot dog there. heard from my friend who lives locally, trying to figure out our schedules to meet up. probably will be for breakfast. exchanged some text messages with a match from internet dating while waiting for my flight. i spent a little time resting in my hotel room, about an hour, then headed for the stadium on the light rail. arrived downtown and went to a hotel bar to have a drink as 'up in the air' was filmed there. made it to the stadium in time to get the giveaway item, a beer stein. expensive to eat there, had a cheeseburger and fries and bottled water. after the game i got socks and a lou brock button and some postcards. cardinals lost to the marlins 7-6. cardinals hit 4 home runs, but 3 of them were solo shots. i had a club box seat, 100 level, not too often i sit this close. it was near the right field foul line. i got a good deal on stubhub. as usual i liked the people i met along the way, including the train ride back to the airport. he was going to columbia, the college town, after the train ride. he laughed a lot at what i was saying, and he had some tattoos on his arm. when he sat next to me i said 'i don't bite'.
