Broken Bus Mirror

On the bus this morning we heard a crash and somebody wondered out loud, 'What was that?' When I got off at my stop it appeared to be a broken bus mirror but sounded worse than it really was, almost like a gunshot.
I was onstage tonight at the comedy club, I liked doing some new material about subjects like the grouchy woman on the bus that I see fairly regularly. I am thankful the show runner got me onstage tonight, in many ways moving me up a week as I am at another club next week for their annual summer contest. I liked getting some compliments from peers about the jokes I did. I even got a business card from somebody. It was from Painter's Plus in Pine City. It was another comic but all he had was this card, as I said it would be more helpful on remembering him. I recall saying how I hadn't been up in that general area much, just for the Kenny Rogers concert at the Hinckley casino in 2005. And I haven't been up to Duluth much either, just once. Eventually it may end up in the binder with the other cards. Thankfully the workday was fairly uneventful, you just never know the day before a holiday.
