She's a Good Skate

We got the first snow of the season, and I finished my errand running in spite of it. There was an odd residue when I was doing laundry in the washing machine, especially when I didn't wash anything with pockets and it looked like a crumbled cookie.
As part of my date tonight I brought over two videos, both VHS. We had enough time to watch one of them, a Charlie Brown special called 'She's a Good Skate'. It was about Peppermint Patty as a figure skater, and Snoopy was her grouchy skating coach. I hadn't seen it in a while, and I recalled seeing the book version when I was younger, especially when Patty and Snoopy handle to hockey players wanting to take over the ice. They shove both lines, creating a domino effect. Then we went on to have dinner at a casino in a nearby town, I had ribeye steak. We don't have formal dinners that often, but this time we both had dressy outfits. I need to check how many of those Charlie Brown specials I have, I know about having 4 on VHS but unsure how many I have on DVD.
Even though I was at a casino, I didn't gamble for long at the slot machines as I tend to prefer other forms of entertainment. I did see a band performing, and it reminded me of how a colleague had helped me with some music terminology this week. I said I liked the effect of certain instruments, like in Rhianna's song 'Umbrella' I hear a constant use of a foot-operated double cymbal. He said it was called a 'hi-hat', and I did see it as part of the drumkit at the casino and I spoke of it to my date. I pay close attention to the drummer.
